According to the HPSLSA's directive issued today,  no  physical gathering to carry out the legal service activities will be allowed till January 31 in view of the health concerns raised by the surge in corona cases across the state. 

State secretary, HPSLA Prem Pal Ranta said the Executive Chairperson today issued this direction to all the stakeholders, considering the importance of the safety measures of the public health in the state. The mega legal services camps and other legal services programmes as per plan of action will be carried out through the digital modes, he said.

Ranta said all judicial offices and legal fraternity would use social media virtual modes like YouTube, WhatsApp, video conferencing, webinar, use of local TV channels and radio to carry out the legal service activities in the state.

“There will be no physical gathering in carrying out outreach legal services activities  in the state till 31st January, 2022”, he said.

During this period, emphasis may be on organizing legal services webinars and uploading legal awareness videos on YouTube and other social media  platforms, he said.

Ranta said the legal services programmes may be organised on local Cable TV and other available platforms in coordination with print and electronic media. “Other stakeholders be made for propagating legal services programmes and policies through digital modes”, he said.

The report of these activities be submitted in the first week of February, 2022. “The situation will be reviewed on 31st January, 2022”, Ranta said.
