Sources told HimbuMail that the internet connectivity would  improve the communication network and delivery of e-services to the villagers in the newly created UT after the Centre scrapped article 370 that gave “special status to the then J and K state”.

The officials said these are confidence building measures  to fast track development and good will in the valley. The broad band scheme will usher in a new era for the J and K people, said the residents on social media.

Earlier, Reliance Jio had set up four transmission towers in the remote villages  of Ladakh UT providing internet connectivity to the villagers, who  otherwise had started  migrating to Leh connect with the dear and near ones outside the UT, reveal the sources to Himbumail service.
