Shimla, March 11: The recruitment of over over 80 assistant professors is on the cards in Himachal.
The Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu government will begin the recruitment process for 80 Assistant Professors in the Medical Education Department next month.
Chief Minister announced this while chairing a workshop at Indira Gandhi Medical College to mark International Women’s Day.
Sukhu said the move was part of broader reforms to strengthen the state’s health sector and create employment opportunities. He added that robotic surgery systems and advanced MRI machines were being installed in all medical colleges to improve healthcare services.
The Chief Minister also announced that staff nurses pursuing higher education will now receive full salary instead of the earlier 40 percent.
He said the government was working to end outsourced appointments and would create new posts of Assistant Staff Nurses to expand employment.
Sukhu also announced a grant of ₹5 lakh for the Nursing Scholar Society.
