SHIMLA: SJVN-run Nathpa Jhakhari power project breached all previous records generating highest ever daily generation of 39.507 MU today.
Nand Lal Sharma, Chairman & Managing Director, SJVN today informed that its flagship 1500 MW Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station has exceeded all the records since commissioning in Single Day power generation.
The Power Station has achieved highest ever daily generation of 39.507 MU surpassing the previous record.
Sharma said NJHPS is designed to generate 36 MU per day at 100% availability during high flow season and against this, the power station has generated 39.507MU.
In current fiscal year, the power station has been operating at highest ever Plant Availability Factor of 110.114% superseding the previous record of 109.971%.
Sharma stated that for three consecutive years, Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station has been setting and surpassing records in single day generation.
He said “harnessing hydro energy is our core competency and the continual streak of records in power generation is the testimony of our excellence.
