HP Govt Announces State-Level Awards 2026; CM to Felicitate Winners on Statehood Day
Shimla, April 12:
The Himachal Pradesh government has announced the recipients of the prestigious State Level Awards 2026, recognising outstanding contributions in public service, social inspiration, and excellence across fields.
The awards—Civil Service Award, Prerna Srot Samman, and Himachal Gaurav Puraskar—will be conferred by the Chief Minister on the occasion of Himachal Statehood Day.
In the Civil Service Award category, the District Administration Mandi and the Department of Digital Technologies & Governance, Shimla have been selected under the organisation category for their notable administrative performance and governance initiatives.
In the individual category, Ms. Samritika Negi, Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Balh (Mandi), has been honoured for her exemplary service.
Under the Prerna Srot Samman, which celebrates inspirational individuals and groups, Ms. Charu Sharma (Shimla) and Kumari Chhonzin Angmo (Kinnaur) have been selected in the individual category. In the group category, women players from Himachal Pradesh who are part of the Indian National Kabaddi Team—including Ritu Negi, Shakshi Sharma, Pushpa, Bhawan Devi, and Champa Thakur—have been recognised for bringing laurels to the state at the national level.
The Himachal Gaurav Puraskar, one of the state’s highest civilian honours, will be conferred on Padma Shri awardee Prem Lal Gautam (Bilaspur), Dr. O.P. Sharma (Hamirpur), Dr. Brij Sharma (Shimla), and Smt. Saneh Lata (Bilaspur) for their distinguished contributions in their respective fields.
Officials said the awards aim to acknowledge excellence, inspire public service, and celebrate individuals and institutions that have significantly contributed to the development and pride of Himachal Pradesh.
