SJVN clocks record 13,302 MU power generation in FY26, sets multiple benchmarks

Shimla, April 1: SJVN Limited has posted a strong operational performance in 2025–26, generating 13,302 million units (MU) of electricity across its power stations, marking a milestone year for the Navratna PSU.

CMD Bhupender Gupta said the company’s flagship 1500 MW Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station delivered its second-highest ever annual generation at 7,506.617 MU, while also crossing a historic 150 billion units of cumulative generation in March 2026.

The 412 MW Rampur Hydro Power Station created a new record, producing 2,108.034 MU—its highest-ever annual output and the first time it has crossed the 2,100 MU mark in 11 years of operation.

In Uttarakhand, the 60 MW Naitwar Mori Hydro Power Station generated 310.37 MU, exceeding its design energy by 17% in just its second year of operations.

Meanwhile, the 1000 MW Bikaner Solar Power Station achieved a landmark by generating one billion units of energy on March 19, 2026.

Gupta credited employees and stakeholders, including the Ministry of Power and partner state governments, for the achievement.

Director (Personnel) Ajay Kumar Sharma highlighted the role of workforce commitment and the projects’ contribution to local socio-economic development.

Director (Finance) Parthajit De said the performance reflects the company’s strong operational capabilities and growing role in India’s energy sector.

SJVN reiterated its commitment to supporting India’s target of 500 GW non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030, aligning with the country’s clean energy push.
