Naggar NGO Organises Blood Donation Camp, Tree Plantation Drive to Promote Service and Environmental Awareness

Naggar (Kullu): A blood donation camp and tree plantation drive was organised by Radha NGO at Naggar near Manali, bringing together social workers, healthcare professionals, government departments and volunteers in a collective effort to promote humanitarian service and environmental conservation.

The programme focused on encouraging voluntary blood donation while spreading awareness about the importance of protecting the environment through plantation activities.

The initiative also aimed at inspiring children associated with the NGO to embrace the values of compassion, social responsibility and community service.

The event was attended by Sudarshana patron of Radha NGO, and noted social worker and hospitality entrepreneur Nakul Khullar, Director of Baragarh Resort & Spa IHCL SeleQtions, who has also been honoured with the Horticulture Excellence Award.

Addressing the gathering, Nakul Khullar appreciated the efforts of social worker Sumit Thakur and Radha Maa, patron of Radha NGO, for their selfless commitment to serving society and nurturing children.

He said such initiatives set an inspiring example of humanitarian service and strengthen the spirit of community participation. He also thanked all blood donors, volunteers and supporting organisations for making the event a success.

Among those present were social worker Sumit Thakur, Up-Pradhan Chavinder Thakur, Dr. Jyoti, social worker Ronny, staff members of Baragarh Resort & Spa IHCL SeleQtions, officials from the Health Department and Forest Department, along with a large number of volunteers and local residents.

Organisers said that blood donation can save precious lives, while tree plantation contributes towards a healthier environment.

They emphasised that such programmes help instil the values of humanity, environmental stewardship and selfless service among the younger generation.

The event concluded with an appeal to the public to actively participate in voluntary blood donation and plantation drives, reinforcing the message that "Blood Donation is the Greatest Donation, and Tree Plantation is Our Duty Towards Nature."
