Nakul Khullar inaugurates ‘Life and Learning in the Himalayas’ art exhibition at Naggar
NAGGAR: Naggar celebrates art ahead of Christmas as Himachal’s beauty comes alive on canvas
Naggar witnessed a celebration of art and creativity on the eve of Christmas as journalist-turned-artist Priya Shandilya opened her first art exhibition at the Roerich Art Gallery.
Titled Life and Learning in the Himalayas, the exhibition was inaugurated by Excellence Award winner and Badhagadh Resort owner Nakul Khullar.
Speaking on the occasion, Nakul Khullar praised Priya Shandilya’s artwork, lauding her ability to capture the serene beauty of Himachal Pradesh on canvas. While appreciating her paintings, he also encouraged the artist to explore socially relevant themes in future exhibitions.
Khullar urged her to take up the theme “Say No to Drugs” through her art to help raise awareness among the younger generation against substance abuse.
Priya Shandilya has been living in Himachal Pradesh for the past three years. A journalist by profession, she developed a deeper engagement with art after moving to the hill state.
In this exhibition-cum-sale, she has showcased a striking collection of paintings depicting mist-laden mountains, deodar forests and the tranquil Himalayan landscape.
The two-day exhibition is being held from December 24 to December 25, 2025.
Besides artist Priya Shandilya, the event was attended by Roerich Art Gallery curators Suresh Nadda (Indian curator) and Larisa (Russian curator), along with her associates Santosh, Shilpa Thakur and Sanjeev Thakur, and members of the media.
