New Delhi/Chandigarh:

Under fire for a week-long national meltdown of IndiGo flights, the DGCA has sacked four senior officers in a late attempt to contain public outrage.

The officials removed are Rishi Raj Chatterjee, Seema Jhamnani, Anil Kumar Pokhariyal and Priyam Kaushik — all part of the team responsible for overseeing IndiGo’s operations.

The move is being read as a face-saving exercise, not a real fix, after thousands of passengers were stranded and airports turned chaotic.

With IndiGo still struggling to stabilise schedules, the regulator is battling questions over its own failure to prevent the crisis.
