HP police spokesperson said in order to effectively maintain law and order, traffic and crowd the police officers have deployed its teams in all the towns to keep a check on illegal activities as envisaged under Excise Act and NDPS Act.
To facilitate locals and tourists, Police force is advised to be polite and courteous at all times. A robust plan for Traffic Management, law and order management, Disaster Management, Excise Act and NDPS Act implementation be put in place in every district and officers be made in-charge of these sub-plans, said the police spokesperson.
Districts should notify the tourists about the arrangements that will be made for instance traffic diversions if any, additional parking arrangements and weather forecast through HP Police, TTR, District Facebook and Twitter Accounts, the spokesperson said.
