Shimla: Marking the birth anniversary of former Himachal Pradesh Minister Late G.S. Bali, the Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC) organised a voluntary blood donation camp, led by HPTDC Vice-Chairman Raghubir Singh Bali, who donated blood and urged people to make blood donation a regular act of public service.
Paying tribute to his father, Raghubir Singh Bali said the most meaningful way to honour leaders who dedicated their lives to public welfare is by carrying forward their legacy through selfless service. He appealed to HPTDC employees, colleagues and members of the public to come forward voluntarily to donate blood, saying that every unit of blood has the potential to save lives and offer hope to families during medical emergencies.
Describing blood donation as a gift of life, Bali said even a small act of compassion can make a lasting difference. He encouraged all medically eligible citizens to donate blood regularly and help strengthen the state's blood reserves.
The camp witnessed participation from HPTDC staff and volunteers, reflecting the message of service and humanity associated with the late Congress leader, who was widely remembered for his contribution to public life and development in Himachal Pradesh.
"Donate Blood. Save Lives. Serve Humanity," Bali said while calling upon people to join the life-saving initiative.
