SHIMLA: Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC) has signed a  Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Adotrip.com, an AI-driven travel technology platform, to digitally integrate the corporation’s hospitality services and strengthen Himachal Pradesh’s presence in the global tourism market.

As part of the collaboration, more than 50 premium HPTDC properties — including heritage hotels and budget accommodations — will be integrated in the initial phase with Adotrip’s AI-powered “Circuit Planner”.

The initiative aims to improve occupancy rates, enhance the visibility of state-run hotels, and offer travellers a more seamless booking experience.

Managing Director, HPTDC, Dr Rajiv Kumar, said the partnership reflects the corporation’s push towards technology-led reforms in the tourism sector.

“This collaboration with Adotrip marks an important step in HPTDC’s digital transformation journey. By leveraging AI-driven platforms, we aim to make our properties more accessible to travellers while offering personalised, convenient, and transparent booking experiences,” Dr Kumar said.

With the AI integration, tourists planning visits to Himachal Pradesh will receive customised recommendations for HPTDC stays based on their travel routes, preferences, and budgets.

The system will support real-time bookings with live availability and transparent pricing across properties.

Dr Kumar added that the initiative aligns with the state’s broader vision of modernising tourism infrastructure and improving service delivery.

“Adopting smart digital solutions will help us reach wider audiences, optimise our resources, and strengthen Himachal Pradesh’s position as a future-ready tourism destination,” he said.

Tourism officials believe the AI-enabled integration will simplify trip planning for both domestic and international visitors, while also boosting the utilisation of state-owned hospitality assets across the hill state.
