Staging a protest within the Vidhan Sabha premises, Congress leaders demanded an unconditional apology, calling the remarks an attack on the very foundation of India's democracy.

Chief Minister Sukhu, leading from the front, declared, “Dr. Ambedkar is not just a name—he’s the cornerstone of equality and justice in this nation.

The BJP’s remarks are a direct affront to his legacy and to every Indian who believes in the values of our Constitution. We will not tolerate such blatant disrespect.”

Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri backed Sukhu’s stance, adding, “This isn’t just about Ambedkar; it’s about the principles he stood for.

The BJP’s silence on this matter speaks volumes about their disregard for the ideals of democracy and social justice.”

Deputy Chief Whip Kewal Singh Pathania pointed out the BJP’s alleged history of undermining Ambedkar’s contributions, saying, “It’s disgraceful that someone in such a high position would stoop so low. This is the BJP’s real face—anti-Dalit and anti-democracy.”

MLA Suresh Kumar also lashed out, accusing the BJP and RSS of harboring a historically anti-Dalit stance.

“They can’t hide their true colors. This is just another example of their regressive ideology,” he asserted.

The protest, which included fiery speeches and slogan-shouting, made it clear that the Congress won’t back down until the BJP issues a public apology.

With Sukhu at the helm, Congress leaders stood united in defending Ambedkar’s legacy, vowing to fight what they called the BJP’s continued disrespect for India’s Constitution and its makers.
