Organized by the Alliance of Bioversity International and the International Centre for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT) as part of the Himalayan Agroecology Initiative (HAI), the workshop aims to gather input from policy makers, scientists, farmers, and food entrepreneurs.

The goal? To shape a sustainable agriculture roadmap for the Himalayas, focusing on climate resilience, healthy diets, fair supply chains, and cutting food waste.

The session will be the first step in building a broader strategy for India, Nepal, and Bhutan, set to be unveiled in early 2025.

Experts from India, Bhutan, and Nepal have already laid out a draft roadmap to guide the transformation of farming practices across the Himalayan region.

The Shimla event is crucial in gathering feedback to strengthen Himachal Pradesh's contribution to this ambitious vision.
