 The theme for this edition is "Role of Science, Technology & Innovation in achieving Sustainable Development Goals."

The congress aims to provide a platform for intellectuals, scientists, and researchers to exchange ideas, address regional challenges, and explore sustainable solutions.

Scientists and students from various institutions are invited to submit their abstracts by 20th February 2024 in diverse subject areas such as agriculture, biochemistry, disaster management, rural technology, mathematics, engineering science, and more.

Prof. Laxmidhar Behera, Director, IIT Mandi, expressed excitement about the event, stating, "The 4th Himachal Pradesh Science Congress embodies the spirit of exploration and collaboration, paving the way for transformative discoveries."

Objectives of the event include identifying and solving problems faced by Himachal Pradesh, exposing young researchers to valuable experiences, organizing intellectual debates, and showcasing technologies.

Prof. Tushar Jain, Head, Centre for Continuing Education (CCE), IIT Mandi, emphasized the platform's role in showcasing scientific prowess and fostering sustainable development.

The event will also host a Vice Chancellor's conclave and a panel discussion on "Science, Technology, and Innovation" for the state's sustainable development.

Participation benefits include exposure to a diverse audience, presenting oral or poster presentations, engaging in intellectual debates, networking, and the chance to win best paper and poster awards.
