Hosted at SJVN Corporate Headquarters in Shimla, Sh. Nand Lal Sharma, Chairman & Managing Director, SJVN, welcomed the esteemed guest along with Ms. Geeta Kapur, Director (Personnel), and senior officers.

Sh. Nand Lal Sharma highlighted SJVN's role as the Nodal agency for Himachal Pradesh in the National Awareness Campaign on Energy Conservation. Over 1,57,500 students from 2,852 schools participated in the school-level painting competition this year. The Honorable Governor presented prizes for Group A (Class 5th, 6th & 7th) and Group B (Class 8th, 9th & 10th), including 10 additional consolation prizes in recognition of high participation.

Acknowledging the collective efforts, Sh. Shiv Pratap Shukla commended students, teachers, parents, and SJVN for promoting energy conservation awareness. Winners received cash prizes, mementos, and a participation amount of Rs 2000/-. The top three winners will advance to the National Level Painting Competition organized by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Ministry of Power, Government of India.

In a simultaneous initiative, the Hon'ble Governor inaugurated three new Mobile Medical Units (MMUs) under SJVN's CSR initiative 'Satluj Sanjeevani Sewa.' These MMUs, equipped with qualified medical teams and diagnostic equipment, will provide free medical services around project areas in Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Gujarat. SJVN has been offering doorstep medical care through MMUs since 2012, benefiting over 12 lakh patients across various project locations.
