The event honored the framers of the Indian Constitution while delving into its ties with ancient Bharat’s values.

The program commenced with a recital of the Preamble by Dr. Ayush Raj, Assistant Professor, reminding attendees of the core ideals of justice, equality, liberty, and fraternity.

Prof. (Dr.) Priti Saxena, in her welcome address, stressed the importance of reflecting on democratic principles and the university's role in fostering constitutional literacy.

The keynote address by Hon’ble Mr. Justice Vivek Singh Thakur, Judge of the Himachal Pradesh High Court, was the highlight.

Speaking on “The Constitutional Embodiment of Ancient Bharat Values,” Justice Thakur linked constitutional ethics to ancient traditions, emphasizing dharma, satya, and ahimsa as guiding principles for modern governance.

Prof. (Dr.) S. S. Jaswal, Registrar and Director of the Centre for Parliamentary Studies, delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to Justice Thakur and applauding the collective efforts behind the event’s success.

HPNLU’s observance reaffirmed its commitment to constitutional awareness, blending ancient values with modern legal education, and shaping socially conscious legal professionals.
