HP police officers at training programme in Shimla

As part of the first phase, 42 road safety equipment and patrolling vehicles, including motorcycles, are being procured.  ITMS cameras will be installed in both police districts.

Efforts are also being made to enhance the capacity and skills of police personnel and investigating officers in the traffic department.

They are undergoing training provided by the Himachal Pradesh Road Infrastructure Development Corporation and the Institute of Road Traffic Education in Delhi.

The training covers various aspects, including road crash investigation, evidence collection, analyzing road conditions, and utilizing modern equipment for data collection.

The training, which lasted two days, was inaugurated by DIG TTR  Gurudev Chand Sharma IPS. AIG TTR  Sandeep Dhaval and Additional Superintendent of Police Narvir Singh Rathore were also present.

Participants were given copies of the book "Road Traffic Legislation" written by Dr. Rohit Baluja, a renowned expert in the field.

These initiatives highlight the commitment of Himachal Pradesh Police to improving road safety and reducing traffic accidents in the state.
