What is Drop Ro Ball?

Drop Ro Ball is a modern Indian sport that has gained popularity not only in Himachal Pradesh but across the country. Requiring small grounds and inexpensive equipment, the game is particularly suitable for hill states like Himachal.

Empowering Rural Youth

The President of the Drop Ro Ball Association of Himachal Pradesh, Govind Singh, stated that the game serves as an excellent platform to steer youth away from drugs and channel their energy into sports.

He remarked, "The main aim of Drop Ro Ball is to empower rural youth by giving them a chance to hone their talents and compete at the national level."

One of the game’s unique features is its safety; there is minimal risk of injuries.

Additionally, the game encourages mixed doubles events where siblings or even husband-wife pairs can participate together.

Himachal’s Team

The players selected for the championship from Himachal Pradesh include:

Boys’ Team: Harsh, Vansh, Naman, Umansh, Nishikant, Harshit, Kartik, Reshav, Abhinav, Saksham, Arpit, Aditya, Dhrub, Mithil, Nikhil, Saksham, and Rachit Kapoor.

HPTeam

Girls’ Team: Gunjan, Divyanshi, Harshita, Pritika, Ritika, Palak, Deepanshi, and Palvi.
