Jai Ram, Vipin Parmar and Jagat Negi

While this disgraceful scene unfolded, the Speaker desperately tried to pacify them but seemed utterly helpless.

His efforts to restore order were in vain, as the verbal chaos continued, leaving the House in shambles.

To make matters worse, these shocking moments were captured on video and are now all over social media, where furious netizens are ripping into the "certain leaders for their shameful behavior".

What should be a place for dignified debate has turned into a free-for-all of un-parliamentary language, with no one backing down.

Revenue Minister Jagat Singh Negi and Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur’s spat is just the latest in this series of public embarrassments.

And while the state reels under disasters—floods, landslides, financial ruin—our lawmakers are more concerned with throwing insults than solving problems.

Videos of these disgraceful debates show how far the Assembly has fallen.

Though the Speaker may have tried to expunge these ugly exchanges from the official record, social media doesn’t forget.

Every insult, every offensive word, is out there for everyone to see, and the public isn’t holding back in its condemnation.

Former Speaker Vipin Parmar voiced his concern, saying, "This isn't the Assembly we once knew.

Both sides are equally guilty of degrading the sanctity of the House."

The critics say the Chief Minister and the Leader of Opposition need to set a better example, especially at a time when the state is grappling with life-and-death issues.

With lives lost, infrastructure destroyed, and a financial crisis looming, the people are fed up.

And as these leaders continue to focus on petty ego-driven battles, the public is watching—and they’re not going to forget this anytime soon.

The Assembly’s reputation is in tatters, and if this behavior continues, the leaders might lose not only their dignity but also the trust of the very people they represent.
