HPCM Sukhu at Manch

Speaking at a forum titled 'Manch', hosted by a private news channel, CM Sukhu asserted that despite a Supreme Court ruling, Himachal continues to be deprived of its due share, a grievance echoed over many years.

The CM asked  Punjab and Haryana governments to  the release of pending shares.

He urged the Centre for financial support, proposing a 90:10 ratio for funding the power component in the Kishau Hydroelectric Project, or alternatively, offering interest-free loan facilities for 50 years.

Highlighting the proactive measures of his administration, CM Sukhu cited the organization of Revenue Lok Adalats to expedite pending revenue cases, yielding much needed respite to thousands of people in the state.

He said the 'Sarkar Gaon Ke Dwar' program was initiated to address citizen grievances at their doorstep, reflecting a commitment to responsive governance.

Taking a swipe at the previous BJP government, CM Sukhu accused them of burdening Himachal Pradesh with debt, contrasting it with his administration's efforts to stimulate economic growth.

Emphasizing inclusivity, he unveiled budgetary provisions aimed at bolstering the green industry and supporting local youth through subsidies for e-vehicles and the establishment of e-charging stations.

Amidst enumerating various government schemes and achievements, CM Sukhu lamented the lack of adequate support from the central government during natural calamities, advocating for increased compensation and a special relief package.

In a forceful appeal to the Centre, CM Sukhu called for fair treatment of Himachal Pradesh and small states, emphasizing the imperative of recognizing their contributions and addressing their concerns promptly.
