This initiative is part of the World Bank Sponsored Scheme, focusing on enforcing road safety rules and ensuring swift response in emergency situations.

Under the initial phase, the scheme is being implemented in Shimla and Noorpur districts, where law enforcement is equipped with vehicles, motorcycles, and modern tools to intensify patrols.

The efforts have proven effective, with a noticeable reduction in road accidents and fatalities in 2023.

Additional Superintendent of Police TTR Narveer Singh Rathod emphasized the police's role as the first responders in emergencies.

He highlighted the evolving nature of crime, underscoring the crucial role played by technology and resources in solving cases and maintaining law and order.

With a commitment to crime prevention, the Himachal Pradesh Police actively anticipates, identifies, and evaluates potential risks, implementing measures to eliminate or mitigate  accidents.
