HOTDC MD inspects it's hotels in Himachal

SHIMLA:  Zooming through the scenic lanes of Manali, Lahaul Spiti, and Kullu, HPTDC's MD , Rajiv Kumar, hit the ground running on a mission to spruce up ITS  tourism hotspots.

With PEAK summer knocking on the door, he rolled up his sleeves to inspect every nook and cranny of HPTDC's properties.

From poking around the transport workshop in Manali to checking out the progress at Zispa, Keyland, and Sidhu in Lahaul Spiti, Rajiv was on a roll! But hey, he didn't forget to swing by the local gems like Hidimba Cottages, Manalsu, and Kunzum Club House, keeping his finger on the pulse of hospitality.

Monday was no day off either! Rajiv dashed to Naggar's Hotel Castle, scoped out Cafe Monal, Sarvari, Silvermoon, and even eyed up Pirdi for a possible ice skating rink.

He even met  Kullu - DC and DTDO - hashing out plans to boost tourism.

Why all this hustle? Well, seems like HPTDC's facing a bit of a crunch - low occupancy, short-staffed, and a hint of lethargy among the staff.

But fear not, Rajiv's got a plan! He's itching to kickstart some fresh initiatives, teaming up with other gov departments to pack those hotels and resorts to the rafters.

MD HPTDC lightning tour is all about revving up Himachal's tourism engine, gearing up for a roaring June season, and steering the corporation clear of any financial bumps in the road.

Now that's what we call hitting the ground running!"
