Kullu: After a long slumber, Kullu Police have finally sprung into action! In a major crackdown on drug trafficking, the police arrested a 36-year-old man from Kharaal Valley and seized a significant quantity of narcotics.

During a patrol near Akhara Bazaar Committee Parking, a team from Akhara Bazaar Police Post nabbed Mahendra Singh alias "Lingo Maam" (36), son of Shiv Ram, resident of Rail, Puid Post Office, Kullu. A search of his possession led to the recovery of 2.78 grams of heroin (Chitta) and 11.94 grams of charas (cannabis).

A case has been registered against Mahendra Singh under Sections 20 and 21 of the NDPS Act at Kullu Police Station. The police are now investigating his drug supply chain to identify his sources.

Further investigations are ongoing to trace the entire drug network linked to the accused.
