CMSukhuat KupviRally in Chopal

The scheme now promises ₹1,500 monthly allowance to all non-working women in Kupvi, considering the area’s tough terrain.

At an event in Kupvi, the CM inaugurated developmental projects worth ₹81.83 crore.

Major highlights include multiple road and bridge projects, like the ₹10.02 crore Kupvi-Dhotali road and ₹7.72 crore Bajrauli bridge.

Sukhu also assured efforts to establish an ITI in Kupvi and upgrade administrative efficiency by granting additional powers to SDOs in PWD and IPH departments.

Additionally, ₹1 lakh each was distributed to two beneficiaries for housing, ₹21,000 to six under the Beti Hai Anmol Yojana, and financial aid under the Sukh-Aashray and Sukh Shiksha schemes.

Sukhu emphasized the government’s commitment to rural empowerment, highlighting Himachal's highest MSP for wheat and maize, and upcoming initiatives to strengthen healthcare and education.

"Himachal is steadily moving towards self-reliance with reforms like the Old Pension Scheme and Rajiv Gandhi Start-Up Yojana," he said.

Health Minister Dr. Dhani Ram Shandil praised efforts under the Sukh-Aashray Yojana, which now includes abandoned children, while Congress leaders lauded disaster response in Chopal.

Sukhu also performed Puja at Shirgul Temple, announced donations to local women’s groups, and assured swift redressal of public grievances.

Chopal Congress leader Rajneesh Kimta thanked CM for the projects and assistance given to women of Kupvi, one of the remotest areas of Chopal segment.

Deputy Commissioner Shimla, Anupam Kashyap, welcomed the CM.
