Shimla: The Lions Club of Shimla, in its ongoing commitment to serve the community, organized a free eye checkup camp at Lions Bhawan, New Shimla today.

The camp, led by specialist Dr. Gunjan Joshi, MBBS, MD (PGI), saw an overwhelming response from the residents of Shimla and surrounding areas.

Dr. Joshi conducted various eye tests on-site, providing patients with immediate advice and treatment plans. Over 120 patients took advantage of this opportunity, getting their eyes examined and receiving valuable guidance on maintaining eye health.

Lion Man Mohan Verma, the President of the Lions Club, shared that the camp was a significant success, with a large turnout from the local community. In addition to the checkups, the club distributed free medicines and eye drops worth Rs. 35,000 to the patients.

Dr. Joshi emphasized the importance of regular eye checkups, explaining that they are crucial for early detection of eye diseases and ensuring overall eye health.

The camp was attended by several Lions Club members, including Lion Man Mohan Verma, Lion C.L. Sankhayan (Treasurer), Lion Kapil Dev Sood, Lion Sunil Sood, Lion D.K. Chauhan, Lion P.S. Panwar, and others who contributed to making the event a success.
