Airport passenger show manual pass in Delhi

New Delhi: In an  unprecedented outage affecting global IT infrastructure, Microsoft and CrowdStrike's systems have led to severe disruptions at airports throughout India.

The impact has been extensive, with airlines, including major carriers such as IndiGo, Air India, Vistara and SpiceJet, experiencing widespread operational issues.

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MEITY) has been actively engaging with Microsoft and its partners to address the global outage.

Updates are being rolled out to rectify the problems, and the Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) has issued a technical advisory to assist affected organizations.

This outage has affected various critical services, including flight bookings, check-ins, and boarding processes.

The National Informatics Centre (NIC) network remains operational, but the ripple effects are felt across the aviation sector.

Passengers have reported numerous cancellations, delayed flights, and extended wait times at airports.

Microsoft has confirmed that their systems are facing an unprecedented scale of disruption and is working diligently to restore normal operations. They have urged passengers to remain patient as they address the situation.
