Dr. Yunus, Director of Industries, announced that 184 cases of illegal mining were registered during a statewide campaign launched to curb such activities.

Dr. Yunus highlighted that the department is adopting a zero-tolerance approach toward offenders. “Strict action is being taken, and public participation is being ensured to prevent illegal mining,” he stated.

Emphasizing the importance of compliance, Dr. Yunus pointed out that while mining contributes significantly to the state’s economy, it is crucial to follow policies for environmental protection and scientific mining.

He underlined the collective responsibility of stakeholders to prevent illegal mining and protect the environment.

The department assured prompt action on citizen-reported complaints, stressing that public vigilance plays a key role in preserving natural resources and ensuring sustainable practices.
