SHIMLA/KULLU  - The 14th National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) team demonstrated exceptional courage and skill in their ongoing rescue operations across Himachal Pradesh.

Today, they successfully evacuated four individuals stranded in a tunnel at Malana Dam using rope rescue equipment.

They were escorted through steep mountain jungle side to Jari as there is no trace of the road there. The dam was obliterated by the flood.

The marooned vudtims took shelter in the hut befire NDRF team infused a new life in them. 

In another daring operation, the team also utilized a rope throw gun to reach and rescue four people stranded since yesterday due to the high flow of the Parvati River near Kullu. 

These heroic efforts are part of continuous rescue operations at Padhar Mandi, Samejh Shimla, and Malana Dam Kullu following severe flash floods and cloudburst incidents.

So far, the 14 NDRF team has evacuated 31  victims, rescued 3 livestock, and retrieved 2 dead bodies.

Rescue efforts have been relentless since early morning, with teams reaching the incident sites promptly and initiating operations immediately.

Earlier, the team had safely evacuated 20 stranded individuals using rope rescue equipment.
