Hamirpur: A final-year B.Tech student at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Hamirpur was found hanging in his hostel room on campus, sending shockwaves through the institute's faculty and student community.
The deceased student has been identified as Ayansh Sharma, a resident of Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. Police officials, who recovered a suicide note from the room, have initiated an investigation into the matter.
Meanwhile, NIT Hamirpur authorities have not issued any official statement regarding the incident. The police are examining all possible angles to determine the circumstances leading to the student's death.
