HP Police Training Workshop in Shimla

The workshop, conducted by the Traffic Tourist and Railway Department of Himachal Pradesh Police, saw participation from 30 investigation officers hailing from across the state.

During the training sessions, Mr. Gurudev Chand Sharma, D.I.G. TTR Mr. Sandeep Dhaval, A.I.G. TTR, and Mr. Narveer Singh Rathore, Additional Police Superintendent TTR imparted training to the participants.

The workshop covered a range of topics including accident scene management and documentation techniques, interview techniques for witnesses and involved parties, methods for evidence collection and preservation, legal aspects and procedures related to accident investigation, analysis of crash data and interpretation of findings, best practices in reporting and documentation, case studies for learning reinforcement, techniques for identifying causes and contributing factors of accidents, collaboration and coordination with other agencies involved in road safety, continuous improvement and professional development strategies, and hands-on practical training on modern tools used in traffic regulation such as Alco sensors, laser speed guns, etc.

In addition to these sessions, interactive sessions, group discussions, and practical activities were conducted to facilitate comprehensive discussions and exchange of ideas. The workshop aimed at equipping the traffic investigation officers with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively carry out their duties and contribute to road safety initiatives in the state.
