The earthquake occurred at 12:34 AM IST, with its epicenter located at a depth of 10 km near 31.29 N latitude and 78.23 E longitude.
More significant is thst its location is Shimla, reported IMD.
As it was of mild intensity, it went out as unnoticed by the residents. But complacency is not a good response.
In response, the Himachal Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority (HPSDMA) has issued an advisory urging residents to stay alert and informed.
