Shimla, June 20– The government has taken swift action against a shopkeeper in Khagna in  Chopal, Shimla district, accused of molesting several school girls over time.

But the molester fled hus home while the police has launched a manhunt to nab him.

Education Minister Rohit Thakur confirmed today that both education authorities and local administration are handling the situation with utmost seriousness.

Speaking to the press, Thakur assured that "the law will take its natural course," emphasizing that the authorities are committed to ensuring justice for the victims.

This comes after reports surfaced about the shopkeeper's alleged repeated misconduct with school girls, sparking outrage in the community at Khagna in Chopal Subdivision.

Local residents have expressed relief at the prompt government response, hoping it will lead to safer environments for their children.

The police  is currently investigating and nabing the culprit.
