These two cases of murder of young girls in state have knocked the conscience of people raising a concern over the safety of women in Himachal Pradesh.
In the first case, DGP Himachal Pradesh stated that a 20- year old girl was murdered by some unknown person(s). The accused involved in this case has not been identified/arrested so far.
He stated the police have lodged FIR No. 85/22 on 16.10.2022 under section 302 IPC at Police Station Jhakri in district Shimla in this case. But the police remained clueless as the accused remained untraced so far.
In the second case, the police have lodged an FIR No. 55/22 on 21.10.2022 u/s 302 IPC at Police Station Pachhad, district Sirmour, in which a young girl child was murdered by some unknown person(s).
The accused involved in this case has not been identified/arrested so far.
The police have not shared other details of the two cases of murder.
As both the cases remained a mystery, the Himachal Pradesh Police has announced reward of Rs 1,00,000/- (one Lakh) for the relevant information about the accused in each case.
