SHIMLA: A mild earthquake of magnitude 3.5 jolted parts of Afghanistan on Sunday evening, according to the latest seismic data.
The tremor was recorded at 7:54:20 PM IST at latitude 36.207° N and longitude 70.941° E, with its epicentre located in Afghanistan.
Mild Jolts were felt in northwestern parts of India as well.
The earthquake originated at a depth of approximately 117 km, indicating a relatively deep seismic event.
There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties.
The seismic information was issued through the BhooKamp earthquake monitoring system.
