Mother-Daughter Found Dead While Washing Clothes in Kotkhai, Shimla
Kotkhai (Shimla): The shock gripped the remote hills of Kotkhai in Shimla district on Sunday evening after a mother and her teenage daughter were found dead under mysterious circumstances in Giri river.
Locals say the two had gone to wash clothes near Giri river but didn’t return for hours.
When worried villagers went searching, they found both lying motionless in the water .
Authorities were alerted immediately. The victims came from Darbar village.
Police reached the spot and have launched an investigation. No injuries or signs of struggle have been found so far, raising questions over possible electrocution or toxic exposure.
