Justice at Your Doorstep for Soldiers, Veterans & Their Kin
Shimla, August 7:
In a big step towards accessible justice for defence personnel, ex-servicemen, and their families, the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) on Thursday rolled out the ‘Veer Parivar Sahayata Yojana, 2025’ across Himachal Pradesh. As part of the initiative, Legal Services Clinics have been set up at all Zila Sainik Boards in the state.
The clinics were e-inaugurated by Chief Justice Gurmeet Singh Sandhawalia, Patron-in-Chief of the Himachal Pradesh State Legal Services Authority (HPSLSA), in the presence of Justice Vivek Singh Thakur, Executive Chairman, and other Judges of the High Court.
“These clinics will ensure no soldier or their family is left behind when it comes to justice. From pension to property disputes — legal help is now just a step away,” said Ranjeet Singh Thakur, Member Secretary, HPSLSA.
The clinics will provide free legal aid on issues like pensions, service matters, welfare schemes, family disputes, and property-related concerns.
HPSLSA thanked the Department of Sainik Welfare and the media for their support in making the initiative a success.
