RAMPUR, JULY 17: Thousands of patients in upper Shimla, Kinnaur and parts of Kullu are set to benefit after SJVN Foundation on Friday installed a Fully Automatic Bio Chemistry Analyzer at the Ayurvedic Hospital in Rampur Bushahr under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, significantly strengthening the hospital's diagnostic facilities.

The machine was inaugurated by Vikas Marwah, Project Head, Rampur Hydro Power Station (RHPS), Bayal, in the presence of officials from SJVN and the Ayush Department.

The Ayurvedic Hospital at Rampur treats around 40,000 to 42,000 outpatients (OPD) and nearly 1,000 indoor patients (IPD) every year. Patients are provided several diagnostic tests free of cost, and the addition of the advanced analyser is expected to ensure faster, more accurate and reliable biochemical investigations.

The facility will benefit residents of Rampur, Kumarsain and Nankhari in Shimla district, Nichar in Kinnaur district, and Nirmand and Ani in Kullu district, reducing waiting time for test results and improving access to quality healthcare for thousands of people.

Addressing the gathering, Vikas Marwah said SJVN has always remained committed to the welfare of society and holistic community development through its CSR initiatives. He said the new machine would provide patients with quicker and better diagnostic services while ensuring that economically weaker and needy patients continue to receive essential laboratory investigations free of cost. He expressed confidence that the initiative would further strengthen healthcare services in the region.

Among those present on the occasion were Sanjeev Sharma, Deputy General Manager (Electrical), PHEM Department; Kaushalya Devi Negi, Deputy General Manager (R&R/CSR), Rampur HPS; Dr Rohini Sharma, Deputy Divisional Ayurvedic Medical Officer, Rampur Bushahr, along with officials and staff of the Ayurveda Department and Rampur Hydro Power Station.
