Shimla, May 18: The Mashobra hills turned into a hub of energy and inspiration as runners from across the region hit the tracks for the Shimla Mashobra Marathon, organised by Run and Thrive Fitness along with a host of committed partners.
Held amidst pine forests and misty trails, the event wasn’t just about fitness—it was a movement. With themes like “Good Health and Well-being” and “Run Against Drugs”, the marathon made a loud and clear statement: say yes to fitness, no to drugs.
Youth, elders, fitness freaks, and first-timers—all ran together, carrying one message: a disciplined and drug-free lifestyle is the way forward. And their enthusiasm didn’t go unnoticed.
“This marathon is more than a run—it’s a message. Promoting health while taking a strong stand against drugs is the need of the hour,” said Dr. Manish Gupta, Professor and Head of Cancer Hospital, Shimla, who was the chief guest and felicitated the winners.
“When people come together for such a cause, it reflects the strength of a conscious and responsible society.”
From unity and sportsmanship to respect for nature, the event ticked all boxes of what a ‘fit’ society should look like.
The success of the marathon was powered by wholehearted support from SJVN, Union Bank of India, H.T Trading Co, Bahl Production, MS HIPA, ECO Thrive Innovations, Shimla Walks, Torque, Jaswinder Construction, Haryana Handlooms, Uday Raj, and the Himachal Pradesh Administration.
In the end, it wasn’t just medals that were won—it was hearts, minds, and a renewed spirit to run towards a better future.
