SJVN’s CSR Boosts Local Heritage: Director Ajay Kumar Sharma Lays Foundation of Ancient Kothi
Shimla, October 17, 2025:
SJVN Director (Personnel) and Chairman of SJVN Foundation, Ajay Kumar Sharma, today inaugurated several development projects under the company’s CSR initiatives in the 1500 MW Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station (NJHPS) area.
As part of the programme, Sharma laid the foundation stone of the ancient Kothi located in the premises of Devi Sahiba Lati Jahri Khadkag Temple and flagged off an electric vehicle hired from a project-affected person. He also planted a sapling under the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign.
Addressing the gathering, Sharma said that SJVN is not only implementing development works in its project areas but is also committed to preserving local culture and traditions. He announced that SJVN will provide financial assistance of over ₹36 lakh for the temple’s renovation under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy.
NJHPS Head Rajeev Kapoor, department heads, and local dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
SJVN continues to focus on education, healthcare, skill development, and environmental protection through its CSR initiatives, aiming for sustainable and inclusive growth that empowers local communities.
