Dharamshala/Shimla: Major Vijay Singh Mankotia, a decorated war veteran of the 1962, 1965, and 1971 wars, and a Sword of Honour awardee, has sent a strong and emotionally charged message in response to the terrorist attack on unarmed pilgrims in Pahalgam, Kashmir on June 26, calling it a “disgusting and cowardly act.”
In a bold video statement, Major Mankotia said:
“The terrorists who killed our innocent tourists in Pahalgam were trained in Pakistan and sent from across the border. But thanks to the precise strategy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we responded inside their own territory—inside Pakistan and PoK.”
Mankotia revealed that the Indian forces waited patiently for 15 days, gathering intelligence on the perpetrators.
“We tracked them, learned where they were trained, where they stayed, who led them—and then, with sharp precision, we struck. Those responsible have been eliminated, including some high-ranking terror commanders.”
Recalling his own war experiences, the veteran said:
“I have fought in the 1962 war with China, the 1965 war with Pakistan, and the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War. I remember when over 93,000 Pakistani soldiers surrendered. That was the day the world saw the real face of Pakistan’s military. And now, history is repeating itself.”
He stated that Pakistan is crumbling under its own weight:
“Top army officers in Pakistan are refusing orders. Business tycoons have fled to Dubai. Even their Army Chief, General Munir, has lost credibility. This is what happens when a country feeds on terrorism.”
Mankotia warned that India will not tolerate any attack on its people or sovereignty:
“This country is not weak. We are patient, but not helpless. We won’t let anyone insult our flag or kill our people. If they try, the answer will come from their own soil.”
He credited India’s leadership and security forces for the successful operation:
“Our Prime Minister, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, the Defence Ministry, and our soldiers have planned this with surgical accuracy. And the message is loud and clear—India will no longer absorb attacks. India will respond.”
Ending on a patriotic note, he said:
“This country belongs to the brave. Our flag is coloured with the blood of martyrs. Anyone who dares touch it will pay the price. This time, we have struck back—and this is just the beginning if Pakistan doesn’t learn.”
