Aparna, daughter of Late Smt. Sarita Sud and Capt. Ved Sud, is now a respected production designer.
She is an alumna of Loreto Convent, Shimla.Her roots remain strong and steady.
Her breakthrough came with an almost impossible task. She had to create a full, life-size replica of the Pan Am Boeing 747 for the film “Neerja.”
The challenge demanded perfection at every step.
She studied hundreds of 3D models. She read heavy technical manuals in detail.
She interviewed engineers and flight attendants who knew the aircraft inside out.
Her work stunned Bollywood.The aircraft set looked real and flawless.It became the backbone of the film.
Her father, Capt. Ved Sud, watched her rise with deep pride. He says she remained rooted in Himachal’s soil even in the chaos of Bollywood.
He calls her journey from Shimla to Mumbai truly inspiring.
Aparna began her career humbly.She worked as an assistant art director in Dil Ka Rishta.
Every project taught her something new. Film by film, she grew stronger.
She designed for Heartbeats, Neerja, Akira, Anybody Can Dance and many more.Her ad film work also earned wide appreciation.
Aparna is a trained interior designer.
Her early years with architects shaped her discipline and focus. Those lessons became her strength in Bollywood.
