New Delhi/Shimla, May 19, 2025:
In a strategic push to widen its reach and boost tourism, the Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC) has begun roping in Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) by offering exclusive discounts for their employees across its prime location hotel network in Himachal.
In a meeting held in New Delhi today, facilitated by Resident Commissioner Meera Mohanty, top officials from major PSUs including ONGC, SAIL, GAIL, IOCL, HPCL, DMRC, CONCOR, and IREDA showed keen interest in collaborating with HPTDC.
The session was aimed at showcasing the state-run corporation’s hospitality infrastructure and exploring potential partnerships.
Leading the HPTDC delegation, Managing Director Dr. Rajiv Kumar and General Manager Anil Taneja highlighted the corporation’s offerings—from luxury hotels and budget stays to adventure tourism facilities spread across the hill state.
HPTDC offers the monastic charm of Lahaul-Spiti and the scenic splendor of Shimla, Kangra, Mandi, Kullu, and Chamba, ensuring a comfortable stay in its well-maintained properties across these breathtaking destinations.
“Such tie-ups will not only promote corporate tourism but also offer cost-effective holiday and travel options for PSU personnel,” said Dr. Kumar.
Representatives from the PSUs welcomed the idea, expressing interest in signing MoUs with HPTDC to formalize the discounts and exclusive packages for their employees and associates. The meeting also saw participation from senior advocate KK Sultan Singh of the Delhi High Court Bar Association.
The discussion ended on a high note, with both sides agreeing to move swiftly to seal the partnerships.
HPTDC is now set to deepen corporate linkages as part of its mission to enhance tourism in Himachal Pradesh.
