Despite garnering immense support from locals, his warnings seem to fall on deaf ears, particularly at the highest echelons of Indian governance and within the mainstream media.

Wangchuk's bold statements, issued from the frigid depths of Leh at a bone-chilling -16 degrees Celsius in videos viral on social media, underscored the "perilous state of India's border defense in Ladakh".

He cautioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Home Minister, Amit Shah highlighting the dwindling morale among Indian armed forces stationed in Ladakh.

He said, "The once formidable Ladakh Scouts, Sikh Regiment, and Gorkha Regiment, renowned for their valor, now face a crisis of confidence, their spirits crushed by neglect and internal turmoil".

"Of grave concern is the revelation that Chinese authorities are actively recruiting Gorkha soldiers, a shocking betrayal of allegiance that threatens to undermine India's defense posture", Wangchuk warned.

Wangchuk's impassioned plea for media attention, aimed at awakening the fourth pillar of democracy, remains unheeded. Despite the gravity of the situation, mainstream media outlets have chosen silence over accountability, failing to amplify Wangchuk's urgent calls for action.

In a stark metaphor, Wangchuk illustrated the dire consequences of inaction, showcasing a glass of water frozen solid in the bitter cold, symbolizing the frozen state of affairs in Ladakh.

As the water expanded upon freezing, so too does the urgency of addressing Ladakh's plight grow exponentially.

"The deafening silence from mainstream media is not just a failure of duty; it's a betrayal of trust and a grave disservice to the nation", he remarked hitting hard on mainstream media.

"Mainstream Media discuss Seema Haider for hours,  for days, but nothing on the Ladakh upcoming Crisis", he charged.

Wangchuk's words echo across the desolate snow-covered cold desert of Ladakh, a cry for help in the face of impending crisis. It's time for the pillars of democracy to heed his call, before the frozen silence of indifference engulfs all.

"Today, our soldiers are in the weakest position on the border of India. The morale of Ladakh's soldiers has been broken, and it has been hurt because Ladakh has neither been given democracy nor protection". Wangchuk said.

"The impact of the agitations in Punjab also affects the morale of Sikh soldiers, and the Gorkha soldiers are being enticed to join the Chinese army", he claimed.

"The upheaval is evident, yet our mainstream media remains silent. I urge them to fulfill their duty as the fourth pillar of democracy and bring attention to Ladakh's plight. India's security hangs in the balance, and it is imperative that we act now." - warned Sonam Wangchuk.
