Worker RestoringWaterinLahaul

KEYLONG: In a daring effort, three workers of the Jal Shakti Department showed immense courage. Sunil Kumar, Chatar Singh, and Vijender stepped up to help Hinsa village in Lahaul Valley.

The village had been without drinking water for several days. The pipelines were blocked due to extreme cold. To fix the issue, the workers waded into the icy waters of the Saptadhara stream.

Temperatures were bone-chilling. The freezing conditions made the task extremely difficult. Water from the heated pipes froze instantly. Chunks of ice formed and fell like sheets.

Despite these challenges, the workers did not give up. Their determination paid off. They successfully restored the water supply to the village.

The villagers were immensely relieved. After days of struggle, they finally had drinking water again. The team’s efforts won widespread praise.
