Himachal Pradesh Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla honored the legacy of Birsa Munda, a revered tribal independence activist. Presiding over the event in Bharmour, Governor Shukla flagged off the 'Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra,' a two-month awareness campaign about Union Government policies in the region.

Governor Shukla praised Birsa Munda's valor during the freedom movement, highlighting his patriotic feats at just 25 years old.

Emphasizing India's global prominence today, he commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership and the positive impact of ambitious government schemes nationwide.

Addressing public representatives, Governor Shukla urged inclusive distribution of scheme benefits and encouraged awareness about Central Government initiatives.

The 'Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra' inauguration, led by PM Modi from Jharkhand's Ulihatu village, was live-streamed during the event.

The ceremony featured cultural performances showcasing local folk traditions, with the Governor visiting departmental exhibitions.

He concluded the day with prayers at the renowned Chaurasi temple in Bharmour, receiving a warm welcome from the public.

Deputy Commissioner Apoorv Devgan and Additional Deputy Commissioner Naveen Tanwar honored Governor Shukla with traditional gifts. The event was attended by local MLA Dr. Janak Raj, Gopal Sadhwani from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, and other dignitaries.
