CM chairing meeting of HRTC officers in Shimla

Shimla: The Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) is gearing up for a fleet boost.

In a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu today, it was announced that HRTC will soon add 25 new Volvo buses and 50 Tempo Travelers to its lineup.

The Chief Minister also highlighted a major push towards electric buses, with Rs. 517 crore allocated for their purchase this year.

Emphasizing HRTC’s critical role in a state with limited air and rail links, Sukhu pledged Rs. 63 crore per month to enhance the corporation's services.

Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri and other officials also contributed their insights during the session.
