Chamba: In a tragic road accident early this morning, three pilgrims from Pathankot lost their lives and ten others sustained injuries when their vehicle met with an accident in Chambaita district. The vehicle was en route to Manimahesh Yatra from Pathankot when the incident occurred.
According to police reports, the accident resulted in 80% of the passengers being killed on the spot.
The injured have been rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. While their condition is reported to be serious, they are currently stable.
Police have initiated inquest proceedings to investigate the cause of the accident. Further details are awaited.
