Shimla/Delhi: The Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) kicked off its much-anticipated Delhi-Leh bus service today.

This thrilling journey promises to be a visual treat, covering a distance of 981 kilometers and costing just Rs 1657.

Transport and Jal Shakti Minister Mukesh Agnihotri announced that the bus will depart from Delhi at 12.15 pm, reaching Keylong at 5.00 am the next day.

From there, it continues on to Leh at 5.30 am, covering the entire route in 30 hours with no night stop.

The route is a breathtaking one, passing through high-altitude terrains like Baralacha, Nakila, Lachungla, and Tanglang La, and picturesque spots such as Sarchu and Pang.

To ensure a smooth journey, the bus will be manned by three drivers and two operators, ensuring a safe and comfortable experience for all passengers.
