On the solemn occasion of his death anniversary, Uttarakhand fondly remembers Indramani Badoni, affectionately known as the "Gandhi of Uttarakhand."

A fiery orator, dedicated social worker, and a key figure in the state's formation movement, Badoni's legacy continues to inspire. 

Born in 1924, Badoni played a pivotal role in mobilizing the masses during the Uttarakhand statehood movement, championing the rights and aspirations of the hill people.

His steadfast dedication and relentless pursuit of justice earned him the title of "Uttarakhand's Gandhi."

As the state pauses to honor his memory, the government reiterates its commitment to building a strong and prosperous Uttarakhand, in line with the dreams and aspirations of its founding leaders.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and other leaders paid rich tributes, emphasizing their resolve to realize Badoni’s vision of an empowered and developed state.

Badoni’s life and work inspire new  generations, reminding them of the power of unity and peaceful resistance in achieving social change.
